Hard Fi - Cash Machine
HARD-Fi's debut album Stars of CCTV was initially recorded as a nine track mini-album in a disused mini cab office; it was then mixed in a variety of unusual acoustic environments - in bedrooms, in pubs, and in their producer, Wolsey White's, BMW. 1000 copies of this record were pressed with only 500 going on public sale. It quickly sold, receiving critical acclaim and radio play.

These gigs were recorded and compiled into a live album. After DLK, Mart Hällgren began a solo career as "Mart" (he had previously played solo in the band Total Egon), but later startade the band UBBA.
Amy Winehouse - You Know Im No Good
Trivia
* Winehouse has a number of "old skool" tattoos of naked women about her person. When asked about them, she was quoted as saying “I like pin-up girls. I’m more of a boy than a girl. I’m not a lesbian, though — not before a sambuca anyway.”[25]
* Winehouse's favourite cocktail is a Rickstasy (three parts vodka, one part Southern Comfort, one part banana liqueur, and one part Baileys). “By the time you’ve had two of them you’re like, don’t even try and go anywhere. Sit down and stay down, until the birds start singing.”[22]
* She was friends with Matt Willis and, for a brief time Billie Piper whilst at the Sylvia Young Theatre School.[3]
* In November 2006 Winehouse was featured in NME Magazine's annual Cool list for the first time, reaching Number 50.
* She also made an appearance on the third series of The Fast Show, appearing in a school play sketch featuring Simon Day in his "Competitive Dad" guise — which seemed to be in jest "considering the nature of the show."
* On January 10th Amy sang for BBC Radio 1 Show The Live Lounge. During the session, Amy sung her new single "You Know I'm No Good", and covered the Zutons song "Valerie".
REM - "It's the End of the World"
Trivia
* The band members picked the name R.E.M. out of the dictionary. They liked the name because it was so ambiguous and was easy to write on posters and put on buttons.[8] They started out as Twisted Kites for the first show they played at a party, but, according to It crawled from the South, they considered Negro Eyes, Slut Bank, and Cans of Piss before settling for R.E.M.
* According to one boxed set of their albums, R.E.M. stands for Rapid Ear Movement, a play on Rapid Eye Movement.
* In 1982, R.E.M. was the first band to play Chicago's Metro.
* In 2001, R.E.M appeared in an episode of The Simpsons called "Homer the Moe", as themselves.
* R.E.M. re-wrote "Shiny Happy People" for their guest appearance in Sesame Street. It was re-named "Furry Happy Monsters" and features Buck, Mills and Stipe playing amid a group of Muppets.
* Disappointed with the results of his lip-synching in the band's first video, "Wolves, Lower", Michael Stipe vowed never to lip-synch in a video again. He performed vocals live for all of R.E.M.'s videos until 1991's "Losing My Religion". He changed his mind after watching Sinéad O'Connor video for "Nothing Compares 2 U". Stipe has lip-synched in the video for the lead single from each album since.
* When Rolling Stone named R.E.M. "America's Best Band" in November 1987, drummer Bill Berry said, "We're not the best rock 'n' roll band in America." Pylon, he said, was the best.
* In 1996, the entire band excluding Mike Mills cowrote "Slapstick Heart" for Sam Phillips' album Omnipop (It's Only A Flesh Wound Lambchop).
* In response to R.E.M.'s release of Green, Chicago-based band Green released a CD entitled R.E.M.
* R.E.M.'s album Green was referenced in the episode 'Animals R Us' of the TV show Northern Exposure. (Maggie O'Connell's late boyfriend is said to have been accustomed to listening to the album and singing along with it after dinner each night.)
The Grid - Swamp Thing
The Grids 1994 single "Swamp Thing", which featured elaborate banjo lines (played by Roger Dinsdale) over house beats was widely popular in the UK and Australia, reaching number forty-four on the 1994 Triple J Hottest 100. The Grid's 1994 album Evolver, which contained the "Swamp Thing" single, reached number fourteen in the UK charts. "Swamp Thing" was also released in 1995 on Triple J's Hottest 100 Volume 2 compilation. Other songs by The Grid include Texas Cowboys, Rollercoaster and Flotation.
After splitting up to pursue individual music interests in 1996, the duo re-formed in 2003. By 2006 the pair were reportedly to have been recording new studio tracks. In early 2006 the band began touring under the name GDM with female singer Misty Woods.
CRACKERJACK JUNCTION sings THE EWOK CELEBRATION SONG
Ewok Celebration (also known as Yub Nub from its incipit, which means 'freedom' in Ewokese) is a musical theme recurring in the ending of the Return of the Jedi. It was composed by John Williams.
It is the song sung during the celebration of the Ewoks on Endor with the Rebel Alliance pilots after the destruction of the Death Star II.
The song's lyrics are in the language of the Ewoks.
In the 1997 edition of the movie (see List of changes in Star Wars re-releases), a different song (Victory Celebration) without lyrics replaces the original version. Like several other changes in the original movies made for the new editions, some fans of the films were somewhat upset with the absence of the song. It does not even appear on newer soundtracks, availible only in an obscure box set.
The song appears in an episode of the sitcom Spaced; the producers could not acquire the rights to use the original recording, so Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg performed and recorded their own version.
The song has been covered by the rock band The Solids.
It was used as the name entry music for the Return of the Jedi arcade game released in 1984.
Lakuna - Lemongrass

Buffy - It Must Be Bunnies!
Trivia
* Although he is never named in dialog or lyrics, the demonic villain of this episode is called Sweet per the episode's closing credits and the shooting script.
* Many fans believe that the demon is called Sweet because of the closing credits, but it was intended to mean "Really Cool" make up by..., but the name stuck.
* Buffy's line, "Dawn's in trouble. Must be Tuesday", is a reference to UPN, who aired Buffy on Tuesday nights. Buffy also aired on Tuesday nights on the WB for the majority of its run.
* Xander's line, "Respect the cruller. And tame the donut!" is a reference to a line from the film Magnolia.
* Spike's line, "Finish the big group sing. Get your kumbaya-yas out," is a reference to both the song "Kumbaya" and to the Rolling Stones album Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! The Rolling Stones in Concert.
* The scene featuring Amber Benson's musical number, "Under Your Spell", featured heavily-implied sex between two females, and was edited out during the episode's first broadcast in conservative countries like the Philippines and China.
* Action figures of Buffy Summers, Anya Jenkins, and Dawn Summers were produced, based on this episode.
* In a press interview Amber Benson admitted to dancing into a pole during the backup dance at the Bronze. The viewer can see her laughing as she steps back (this occurs during the lyric "and every single verse / can make it that much worse" within "Something to Sing About").

The Cardigans - My Favourite Game
Peter Svensson and Magnus Sveningsson, both heavy metal musicians, formed the group in October of 1992 in Jönköping, Sweden, with drummer Bengt Lagerberg, keyboardist Lars-Olof Johansson and lead singer Nina Persson. Living together in a small apartment, The Cardigans recorded a demo tape which record producer Tore Johansson heard, leading to an invitation to record at a studio in Malmö. In 1994 they released their debut album Emmerdale in Sweden and Japan (it was re-released internationally in 1997). The album includes the Swedish radio hit "Rise & Shine" and was later voted the best of 1994 in a poll in Slitz magazine.

David Bowie - Life on Mars
The MFF vs The Evil Dead
EVIL DEAD TRIVIA
* The movie was filmed in Morristown, Tennesseee off Kidwells Ridge Road, and was screened at the 1982 Cannes Film Festival.
* Shooting began on November 14, 1979. The original cast left on schedule after six weeks, and the remainder of the filming used family and friends dressed like the actors for rear or side shots. This became known as "shemping"; the person participating is known as a "Fake shemp", paying homage to the Three Stooges.
* In order to finance the film, Raimi made a short film entitled Within the Woods, which starred the Bruce Campbell and Ellen Sandweiss and had scenes that would later be redone for this film, as well as a shot that would be used in Evil Dead II.
* The two fishermen on the side of the road at the beginning are writer / director Sam Raimi and producer Robert Tapert. In the film, Professor Knoby's recorded recitation of the Book of the Dead is actually a distortion of the words, "Sam and Rob are the hikers down the road." Tapert can also be seen when the car enters the wooden bridge, hiding in the shrubbery to the right.
* Terminology used in reference to the demonic book shows that Raimi's version of the notorious faux-occult book is influenced by H.P. Lovecraft's work.
* The cabin used for filming in Tennessee had no basement, so a trap door was cut in the floor, and a five foot hole was dug beneath it. The actors pretended to descend into the basement by squatting down lower and lower. The scenes in the basement were filmed in Marshall, Michigan, months later.
* At one point in early January, 1980, filming was interrupted by a shortage of Karo syrup, red food coloring and marshmallows, the components of the film's guts. All of the stores in a 20 mile radius had been bought out of these ingredients.
* Footage from the film's climax was used in the opening sequence of Adam Curtis's The Power of Nightmares.
* In the scene when Ash first finds the Necronomicon, a torn poster of Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes can be seen in the background. In response, a scene from Evil Dead is visible on a television screen in Craven's A Nightmare on Elm Street. An Evil Dead poster can also be seen in a closet containing a chainsaw in the horror film Dead & Breakfast.
* To make Campbell's terrified screams sound more realistic, he was poked off-camera with a sharp stick to make him scream.
* In the original shooting script, Ash survives and walks off into the dawning day. The film crew objected strenuously to the notion of a survivor, not believing Sam could even consider a "happy" ending. The ending of the film was conceived in a breakfast brainstorming session.
* The song "Dead By Dawn" by American death metal group Deicide is an homage to the film series.
* Numerous shots in the film, in which the action is seen from the point of view of an unseen demonic force, are filmed with a two-cameraman method which Campbell refers to as a "shakey-cam." A camera is attached by a bolt to a two-by-four with bicycle handles on either side, with one cameraman hodling onto either handle and maneuvering the camera over obstacles in its path. Raimi has continued to use this method in other movies, including the remainder of the Evil Dead trilogy.
YATTA Live
Yatta is a 2001 song by a Japanese comedy band called はっぱ隊 (Happa-tai; literally "Leaf Squad" in Japanese, though they called themselves "Green Leaves" in English). Yatta is also a Japanese word meaning "it's done!", "ready!" or "all right!" The song was first performed as a sketch on the Japanese sketch comedy show "笑う犬の冒険" (Warau Inu no Bōken; Adventures of a Laughing Dog), known as "Silly Go Lucky" in the United States, where Happa-tai, a sendup of a stereotypical boy band, is portrayed by some of Japan's most well-known comedians. It became extremely popular on the Internet through the distribution of its music video and also a Flash animation called Irrational Exuberance which used the song
DEVO - Whip It!
Devo (pronounced DEE-vo or dee-VO, often spelled "DEVO" or "DEV-O") is an American Rock group formed in Akron, Ohio in 1972.
Their style has been variously classified as punk, art rock and post-punk, but they are most often remembered for their late 1970s and early 1980s New Wave music which, along with others (such as Gary Numan, Oingo Boingo, and The B-52's) ushered in the synth pop sound of the 1980s.
Devo's music and stage show mingle kitsch science fiction themes, deadpan surrealist humor, and mordantly satirical social commentary via sometimes-discordant pop songs that often feature unusual synthetic instrumentation and time signatures.
Their work has proved hugely influential on subsequent popular music, particularly New Wave and alternative rock artists, and they created many memorable music videos popular in the early days of MTV.
Stan Bush - The Touch (Transformers Movie)
Stan Bush is an American singer whose most notable work include the songs "Dare" and "The Touch" from the soundtrack to the 1986 animated film Transformers: The Movie, and "She's Got the Power", featured in the American voice dub of the animated series Sailor Moon.

"The Touch" gained more recent notoriety when Mark Wahlberg performed the song in the 1997 film Boogie Nights.
Presently Stan Bush is submitting a song to the producers of the live action Transformers movie in hopes that it will be included in the movie soundtrack.

WoW Machinima Day
Machinima a portmanteau of machine cinema or machine animation, is both a collection of associated production techniques and a film genre defined by those techniques. As a production technique, the term concerns the rendering of computer-generated imagery (CGI) using real-time, interactive (game) 3D engines, as opposed to high-end and complex 3D animation software used by professionals.

ITS HASSELHOFF DAY
Hasselhoff launched his singing career with guest appearances on the children's program Kids Incorporated and also obtained permission to produce a Knight Rider episode ("Let It Be Me") which focused on his singing talents. The episode served as a springboard for his 1985 debut album Night Rocker.
The debut album was released while he was still working on the show. After two moderately successful albums, he recorded "Looking for Freedom" with German producer Jack White in the summer of 1989 and released it just as the Berlin Wall came down. It resonated with the newly unified nation and he performed it atop the Wall as the people tore it down.
In Germany, his song became an anthem of sorts at the time, and the album went gold and triple platinum, topping the charts for three months whilst the single managed a mere eight weeks. He was later announced as the best selling artist of 1989 in Germany even prompting the newspaper headline "Hasselhoff: not since the Beatles." Since then, another six of his albums have gone platinum in Europe.
In early 2005, it was reported that Hasselhoff had teamed with rapper Ice-T and was planning to record a rap album under the handle of Hassel the Hoff.[1] On Late Night with Conan O'Brien Ice-T confirmed that he was not involved in any such project. In June 2006 Hasselhoff confirmed that the project was a "prefabrication" on The Kevin and Bean Show on KROQ, Los Angeles.
I've Been Looking For Freedom
Hasselhoff’s song, I’ve Been Looking for Freedom, was played when the Berlin wall was being torn down.
Sing Along If Ya Wanna
Lyrics posted for Fruity and MG
One morning in june some twenty years ago
I was born a rich man’s son
I had everything that money could buy
But freedom - I had none
I’ve been lookin’ for freedom
I’ve been lookin’ so long
I’ve been lookin’ for freedom
Still the search goes on
I’ve been lookin’ for freedom
Since I left my home town
I’ve been lookin’ for freedom
Still it can’t be found
I headed down the track, my baggage on my back
I left the city far behind
Walkin’ down the road, with my heavy load
Tryin’ to find some peace of mind
Father said you’ll be sorry, son,
If you leave your home this way
And when you realize the freedom money buys
You’ll come running home some day
I paid a lotta dues, had plenty to lose
Travelling across the land
Worked on a farm, got some muscle in my arm
But still I’m not a self-made man
I’ll be on the run for many years to come
I’ll be searching door to door
But, given some time, some day I’m gonna find
The freedom I’ve been searchin’ for
Don't Hassle The Hoff
In 2006, as a judge on America's Got Talent, he announced that he hates jugglers.
Jump In My Car
At every gig the British band The Automatic play, they request a shrine to David Hasselhoff, a request which has been granted on only two occasions
The Hoff as The Bond
Spontaneous Internet irony has also driven one of his videos, Hooked on a Feeling, into the top 20 clips of all time on YouTube with at least 5million+ views. This does not include the dozens of other versions of the same video also uploaded.
LIMBO!
Looking for … the Best has become an exceptionally highly rated CD on Amazon.com, receiving an incredible number of 5-star ratings. This was the culmination of a spontaneous Internet joke that has been going on for several years, in which Amazon customers review the album. Almost all give it 5 stars and pen sarcastic reviews which include egregious misspellings of Hasselhoff's name and usually end with the phrase, The song "Hot Shot City" is particularly good!.

Ewa Sonnet - RnB
Ewa Barbara Sonnet (born March 8, 1985 in Rybnik, Poland) is a Polish singer and model. Sonnet is the famous leading model of the Polish Busty models.
After high school and becoming an adult, Sonnet was discovered by a person in the adult entertainment industry. Sonnet agreed to become a model. In late 2003, Sonnet began to model for the popular Polish web site Busty.pl, a website known in Europe and the United States. Sonnet posed for pictorial and videos for the site, in which she stripped topless and, rarely, naked. Sonnet was mostly known for her exceedingly large natural breasts (36EE) and slim body and facial beauty.
On January 16, Ewa have officially confirmed that she has finished the second album. The album is expected to be released in March and 11 songs have been finished and recorded in Sweden.
Flock of Seagulls - I Run Away
Mike Score continues to tour under the band's name with a new line-up, but the other original members have retired from music.
The band plans of releasing a new album in 2007, and it should be noted that A Flock Of Seagulls T-Shirts and other new memorabilia are in production, in preparation for the "comeback."
Foo Fighters - Big Me
Dave Grohl spent four years as the drummer for Nirvana. Unbeknownst to most of Nirvana's fanbase, Grohl had gradually written a stockpile of songs that he had largely held back from the band for fear of ruining their chemistry. (Grohl has noted in several interviews that he was well aware of the infamous drummer joke: "Q: What did the drummer say just before he got fired? / A: 'Hey, guys, let's try one of my songs!'") Instead, Grohl occasionally booked studio time to record demos, and even issued a cassette of some of those songs called Pocketwatch under the pseudonym Late! in 1992.
L'trimm - "Cars That Go Boom"
L'Trimm was a Miami Bass hip-hop duo composed of Lady Tigra and Bunny D, two teenage girls from Kendall, Florida (an area of Dade County, slightly south-west of Miami). They recorded three albums for Hot Productions: Grab It! in 1988 (when they were eighteen), Drop That Bottom in 1989 (which led to The Source naming them "Hip-Hop Goddesses of the Month"), and Groovy in 1991.
Talking Heads - Psycho Killer
Talking Heads was an American rock band existing between 1974 and 1991, composed of David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth, and Jerry Harrison.
In the fall of 2006, Byrne released "Arboretum", a sketchbook facsimile of his Tree Drawings, published by McSweeney's. He also had an exhibition of his chairs — drawings, photographs, sculptures, and embroideries — at Pace/MacGill Gallery, NYC.
UNKLE - Rabbit In Your Headlights
UNKLE is a British musical outfit founded in 1994 by school friends James Lavelle and Tim Goldsworthy. Originally categorized as trip-hop, the group once included producer DJ Shadow and has employed a variety of guest artists and producers.
For some strange reason possibly one of my all time favourite music videos...

Technical Difficulties
Keep tuned...
Tuesday, January 16, 2007
The Police - Every Breath You Take
While the song sounds like a sedate and seemingly harmonious love ballad, it was actually written during the collapse of Sting's marriage to Frances Tomelty; the lyrics describe not well-meaning love but the motivations of a stalker, who is watching "every breath you take/every move you make". However, this fact has often gone unnoticed, or is ignored, and hence the song is often incorrectly classed as a love song.
Which makes the contived nonsense Puff Daddy/P Diddy/Cock Jockey made out of it even more nonsesne....
Polysics - I Me My Mine
Polysics are a Japanese New Wave / Synthpop / J-Rock band from Tokyo. The band started in 1997, but got their big break in 1998 at a concert in Tokyo. They create high energy music, fusing conventional guitar music, with synthesized and computer generated sound to create a unique mixture of punk and pop, heavily inspired by the American band Devo. Their song lyrics often consist of Japanese, broken English, or just plain gibberish ("Space Language"). The band has been noted for their extremely energetic live performances and their wild gimmicky outfits.
Sneaker Pimps - Post Modern Sleaze
The band's founding members were Chris Corner and Liam Howe (both ex-DJs), who then recruited Kelli Dayton (formerly of Lumieres, now recording under the name Kelli Ali) for vocal duties. After the first album, the band felt that demos for second album (on which Corner provided the guide vocals) better suited his voice, especially in regard to the more raw, personal quality of the lyrics. Combined with the fear of being identified with the fad for trip-hop acts (i.e. Portishead), Kelli was asked to leave the group, and Corner became the singer.
Dayton's departure was well received by some critics who felt that it gave the band a more honest, emotional timbre. Some fans feel that the songs on subsequent Sneaker Pimps albums, Splinter and Bloodsport, have lost the bubblegum feel and have gained an emotional intensity, while others enjoyed Dayton's vocals precisely because of that feel.
Currently the band are recording material for an as-yet untitled fourth album, having shelved a number of songs previewed live during 2003, and having recruited a new, as-yet unknown, female singer.
The Pogues - Dirty Old Town
Their politically-tinged music was reminiscent of The Clash, with whom they played (Joe Strummer produced one of their albums and even joined the group briefly), and used traditional Irish instruments such as the tin whistle, banjo, cittern, mandolin, accordion, and more. In the later incarnations of the band, after the departure of Shane MacGowan, rock instruments such as the electric guitar would become more prominent. The first of The Pogues' albums, Red Roses for Me, borrows much from the punk tradition of MacGowan's previous band The Nipple Erectors (later dubbed The Nips).

Spiderbait are an Australian rock band who have had two top ten albums and another three albums reach the Australian top 40. Their song Buy Me a Pony was #1 on the Triple J Hottest 100 for 1996, and the group enjoyed success with their 2004 #1 Australian hit cover of Black Betty.
The Dresden Dolls are a two-piece band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed mid-2001 and made up of singer/pianist Amanda Palmer and drummer/occasional guitarist and vocalist Brian Viglione. They describe their style as "Brechtian punk cabaret", and have exposed an underground dark cabaret movement that started gaining momentum in the early 90's with artists like Salon Betty and Gavin Friday.

Breaking Benjamin - Sooner Or Later
In September of 2004, drummer, and founding member of Breaking Benjamin, Jeremy Hummel was relieved of his duties in the band. Subsequently, on September 28, 2005, Hummel filed a federal lawsuit against the remaining members of Breaking Benjamin, as well as its management, claiming he was not paid for songs he helped write. Hummel's lawsuit asked for more than $8 million in damages. A message was released October 25, 2006 on the bands official website stating that the band and Hummel had come to agreement on the lawsuit. |
Deftones - Passenger (ft. Maynard James Keenan)
A home made music video made for the song Passenger by the Deftones. Deftones have often been praised as one of the more innovative and unique rock bands of recent years. Johnny Loftus writes, "Rock critics usually reserve a special place for Deftones above or at least away from the rest of the turn-of-the-century metal movement... Deftones have always seemed more curious, more willing to incorporate traditionally revered sounds like dream pop or D.C. hardcore into their Northern California alternative metal." Moreno's poetic lyrics—described by a Time magazine critic as "furiously intelligent"—are often evocative, yet sparse enough to allow for multiple interpretations. Moreno has cited Morrissey, Weezer's Rivers Cuomo, The Cure's Robert Smith, Bad Brains' H.R., and Depeche Mode's David Gahan among his favorite singers, and, beyond an occasional similarity in vocal technique, these singers' sweeping sense of drama is often evident in Moreno's vocals. |
A Perfect Circle - Weak and Powerless
A Perfect Circle (often referred to as APC) was an alternative rock band, formed by guitarist Billy Howerdel. Howerdel had worked as a guitar tech for bands such as Nine Inch Nails, The Smashing Pumpkins, Fishbone, Guns N' Roses and Tool. He played demos of his music to Tool's singer, Maynard James Keenan. Maynard offered himself as vocalist should Howerdel form a band. Howerdel was initially hesitant about this as he originally wanted a female singer. |
Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun.mpg
"Black Hole Sun" is a song by 1990s grunge band Soundgarden. It originally appeared on their 1994 album Superunknown and was the second single released from it (the previous one being "Spoonman"). It would later appear on the band's greatest hits album A-Sides. In many respects it is clearly the band's most recognizable song, and it was the most popular grunge song of 1994. In 1995 it won the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance. |
Rammstein - Sonne
"Sonne" (German for "Sun") is a song by the German Tanz-Metall group Rammstein. According to Till Lindemann, the song was originally written as an entrance song for the boxer Vitali Klitschko, which was also the working title of the song. . The song is very powerful and heavy. Many artists (such as Rob Zombie) are uncertain how the band created such a heavy guitar sound. Instead, the video features the band as dwarves working for a gold-addicted Snow-White. Apparently, this came about while several of the band members were watching the old Disney film, Snow White, and had Sonne playing in the background, giving them the idea for the video. The band supposedly went through nearly 200 different ideas for the video before choosing the Snow White theme. One of the other ideas was a video about the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Lady Snow-White (German "Schneewittchen") is played by the Russian soap actress Joulia Stepanova. |

The meaning of the song is ambiguous, as the lyrics ask the question: "Why can't we not be sober?" This double negative allows for multiple interpretations, depending on which other parts of the lyrics are focused on. Adam Jones has stated in an interview that the song is about a friend of the band whose artistic expression only comes out when he is under the influence. "A lot of people give him shit for that," Jones explains. "
Xanadu or Zanadu (Chinese: 上都; pinyin: Shàngdū) was the summer capital of Kublai Khan's Mongol Empire, which covered much of Asia. It is in Inner Mongolia, 275 km north of Beijing, northwest of Duolun and northeast of Lanqui/Zhenglan Banner/Dund Hot. The capital consisted of the square-shaped "Outer City" (2,200 metres square), "Inner City" (1,400 metres square), and the palace, where Kublai Khan stayed in summer. The palace is 550 metres square, 40% the size of Forbidden City in Beijing (China). The most visible modern-day remnants are the earthen walls though there is also a (ground-level) circular brick platform in the centre of the inner enclosure.

"The Message" is an old school hip hop song released in 1982, performed by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. Furious Five rapper Melle Mel was the only group member that contributed any lyrics to the final version of the song.

A music video was made for the song, featuring Yorke as the only passenger in a driverless car as it chases a man (Hungarian actor Lajos Kovács) down a deserted highway. Finally, when it looks like the car is finally going to run the man over, it instead reverses, leaving a trail of gas, which the man sets alight. The camera then turns to show the back seat in which Yorke was sat, but he has disappeared. The video was directed by Jonathan Glazer, previously responsible for Radiohead's "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" clip. Glazer won MTV's director of the year award in 1997 for his work on this, as well as Jamiroquai's "Virtual Insanity."

Apocalyptica is a Finnish band consisting of three, formerly four, classically trained cellists and, since 2003, a drummer. Their speciality is metal music played on cellos, though they also play classical music. They are all former students of the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.
Their first album, Plays Metallica by Four Cellos, consisted solely of Metallica covers. For their second album Inquisition Symphony, they added covers of Faith No More, Sepultura and Pantera, as well as three original songs. For their fourth album, Reflections, they developed their style of cello rock further; adding drums and developing a more electronic sound, instead of the previous acoustic style arrangement found on Inquisition Symphony and Cult.

The most recent and arguably most notable cover version of Genesis' Land of Confusion was released by the band Disturbed in July 2006, as the third single from their album Ten Thousand Fists. It was accompanied by a music video animated by Todd McFarlane, known for his work with the Spawn comic book series. McFarlane had previously animated the video for "Do the Evolution" by Pearl Jam, and the "Land of Confusion" video has a very similar style. The song became their first #1 single on the Mainstream Rock Charts on October 26, 2006
The Cardigans are a Swedish band formed in the town of Jönköping in 1992. The band's musical style has varied greatly from album to album and encompasses their early indie leanings passing through '60s-inspired pop and more band-based rock.
Their debut album Emmerdale (1994) gave them a solid base in their home country and raised some flags abroad, especially in Japan. But it wasn't until their breakthrough second album Life (1995) that international audiences and critics responded. The band are perhaps best known for their international hit single "Lovefool", from the album First Band on the Moon (1996). Its inclusion in the soundtrack of William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet by director Baz Luhrmann secured their popularity.
After the fight, Rocky delivers a dramatic anti-Cold War message talking about union and friendship between both countries, as Andrew Korn's Russian character cheers. Because of his message in this sequel of Rocky and his characterization of an American military hero in Rambo: First Blood Part II in that same year, Stallone earned an award from President Ronald Reagan that year
Although the Flaming Lips take an indie rock/post-punk approach to rock music, the band is known for their lush, multi-layered, psychedelic arrangements, spacey lyrics and bizarre song titles (for example, "Pilot Can at the Queer of God", "Free Radicals (A Hallucination of the Christmas Skeleton Pleading With A Suicide Bomber)" or "Yeah, I Know It's A Drag... But Wastin' Pigs Is Still Radical"). They are also acclaimed for their elaborate live shows featuring fursuits, balloons, puppets, video projections and complex stage light configurations. In 2002, Q magazine named The Flaming Lips one of the "50 Bands to See Before You Die".
