Morphine - Honey White
Morphine was an alternative rock group formed by Mark Sandman and Dana Colley in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, in 1989.
Critically-acclaimed for their innovative music and unique instrumentation, Morphine combined blues and jazz elements with more traditional rock arrangements, giving the band a very unusual sound. Sandman's distinctive singing was described as a "deep, laid-back croon"[1], and his songwriting featured a prominent beatnik influence.
When asked by reporters to describe their music, Sandman labeled it "Low Rock". One critical appraisal suggests that "Morphine immediately established a minimalist, low-end sound that could have easily become a gimmick: a 'power trio' not built around the sound of an electric guitar. Instead, with sly intelligence, Morphine expanded its offbeat vocabulary on each album."

C&C Music Factory - Things That Make You Go Hmmmm
The stylish visuals and production for C+C Music Factory's first videos helped to distinguish the group's first releases from previous mainstream dance hits like Technotronic's "Pump Up The Jam". Controversy erupted when vocalist Zelma Davis appeared instead of vocalist Martha Wash in the video for the group's first single, "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)." Davis, the vocalist (aside from rapper Freedom Williams) on the next three singles, lip-synched to Wash's vocals in that video. Speculation about bad blood between Wash and the group were laid to rest when Wash and Davis both appeared in the video for 1994's Hot Dance Music/Club Play #1 single, "Do You Wanna Get Funky", on which they both share lead vocals.

In "Showdown at Cremation Creek (Part I)," he appears as one of David Bowie's bodyguard henchmen (alongside an animated Iggy Pop, another Bowie collaborator). "Klaus" attacks his opponents with ultra-high-pitched singing and the over-sized bowtie of his famous costume, spun and ejected as a battering weapon.

Between 1993 and 2000 they released one EP, three full length LP's and ten singles on the Beastie Boys' Grand Royal record label. Their biggest hit —and only Billboard Top 40 entry— is "Naked Eye" (#36, March 22, 1997). Other notable singles include "Here", "CitySong (NY State Of The World)", "Under Your Skin" and "Ladyfingers".
Vivian Trimble left the group in 1998, and in 2000 (after releasing one album as a trio) the group officially announced the break up of Luscious Jackson.
Early 2007 will see the release of a Luscious Jackson "greatest hits" compilation, and in the Fall of 2006 the band announced that they have reunited and are to begin work on a new album.

Ten Masked Men - Blue
Ten Masked Men are a British Death Metal covers band who specialize in 'destroying' pop classics. The band was formed in 1996 when The Mauler and The Chef did a cover of Oasis' "Wonderwall" as a joke. It was recorded on a 4-track in a bedroom and was soon followed by "Stayin' Alive", "Into the Groove" and "Beat It". These simple recordings were played to friends and in some clubs and became increasingly popular. There was still no band name at that time but all would change when overhearing a news broadcast about masked terrorists. The masked appearance fitted in well with the idea of doing a covers band and so the name Ten Masked Men was created. In 1999 the first CD, Ten Masked Men was recorded and was given out free in their local club. It was evident that the music was becoming notorious and so the CD started circulating in top London clubs.

Wild Cherry was a hard rock band. They had a regular gig at the 2001 Club, and with Disco big at the time, their sound didn't go over well. After one show, a black audience member shouted, "Play some funky music, white boy." Lead singer Robert Parissi decided they should, and wrote down the phrase on a bar order pad. They recorded it in Cleveland with a Disco sound - drum and bass mixed way up front. The band was concerned about the lyrics, but Parissi insisted on keeping them. This was going to be the B-side of Wild Cherry's cover of the Commodores' "I Feel Sanctified." When they heard it, the owners of their record label suggested that the B-side become the A-side. The song sold over 2 million copies,

Leningrad Cowboys/Red ArmyChoir - Sweet Home Alabama
The Leningrad Cowboys is a Finnish rock and roll band famous for its humorous songs and concerts featuring the Soviet Red Army Choir.
The band were the invention of Finnish film director Aki Kaurismäki, a fictional band in his 1989 film Leningrad Cowboys Go America. However, for the fictional band he used members of a real Finnish band, the Sleepy Sleepers plus a few others, and in the film they are joined by Nicky Tesco, former lead member of UK Punk rock band, The Members. However, following the film, the band then took on a life of its own, appearing in their own right in recordings, videos and concerts. The band appeared in two other Aki Kaurismäki films, the Leningrad Cowboys Meet Moses (1994) and the Total Balalaika Show) (1994), the film of a joint concert, held in Helsinki in June 1993, between the band and the full 160-member Red Army Choir. Kaurismäki also wrote and directed two videos featuring the band, their cover of the 60's folk standard Those Were The Days (1992) and Thru The Wire (also featuring Tesco) (1992).

QUEEN & Bowie - Under Pressure
The song evolved from a jam session the band had with Bowie at its studio in Montreux, Switzerland, therefore it was credited as co-written by the five musicians. According to Queen bassist John Deacon (as quoted in a French magazine in 1984), however, the song's primary musical songwriter was Freddie Mercury — though all contributed to the arrangement. An earlier, embryonic version of the song without Bowie called "Feel Like" is widely available in bootleg form.

Leon - The Professional
Afraid I have no idea who the music actually....
Léon (Jean Reno) is a lonely and emotionally detached hitman. He lives a solitary life and spends his time watching musicals in between training and taking assassin jobs for Italian mobster Tony (Danny Aiello). Léon is seen in a cinema, watching a musical with faint amazement at the joie de vivre depicted by the film's characters, something he himself is unable to express. He meets Mathilda (Natalie Portman), a twelve-year-old girl who lives with an abusive family in the same apartment building. After corrupt DEA agents, headed by agent Norman Stansfield (Gary Oldman), kill Mathilda's family, Léon saves Mathilda by grudgingly opening his apartment door to let her in with her groceries.

Breaking Benjamin - "The Diary of Jane"
"The Diary of Jane" is the first single from the Breaking Benjamin album Phobia.
The single moved rapidly up the charts in its first week of official release. It was the #1 most-added track at three formats: Modern Rock, Active Rock and Rock. "The Diary of Jane", as of June 2006, can be heard on over 100 radio stations nationwide. The song was streamed from the band's MySpace over 160,000 times in two weeks of its release to the Internet. "The Diary of Jane" was the fastest added single in Hollywood Records history, topping such mega-stars as Queen. The success of the song led it to be featured in the video game NASCAR 07.

Hayfa Wehbe
Haifa was born in Beirut, Lebanon. She grew up listening to jazz and R&B. She became a model at a very young age and won the title of "Miss South Lebanon" at age sixteen.
Haifa's next distinction came in 1995 when she was runner up for Miss Lebanon. However, it was shortly discovered that she was married and had a daughter named Zeinab (Zaza). Her title was revoked since she obviously no longer qualified as a 'Miss'.
